As a member of the ‘Charta der Vielfalt’ – ‘Diversity Charta’ – eurodata took German Diversity Day on 28 May 2024 as an opportunity to organise an international picnic at company headquarters. The aim of it – in an informal get-together – was to put the spotlight on the topic of diversity and cultural multifariousness in the world of work. Even if the diversity of people, perspectives and tasks is a matter of course in the enterprise itself, there was some animated discussion about diversity in society as a whole. No wonder, given that according to McKinsey German enterprises are not among the front runners when it comes to diversity, for example when you look at the number of women in management positions. Be that as it may, the consensus among those attending this collective buffet with all its international specialities and tasty treats was that the open-mindedness and diversity of their own employer was more than satisfactory.
