eurodata-data centre meets highest securitiy demands

Recertification in accordance with ISO 27001 successfully concluded by TÜV Hessen.

Once again, the high-performance data centre of the Saarbrücken-based IT enterprise eurodata has been awarded the ISO quality seal. So customers can continue to rely on the maximum security of their data and processes that conform to the relevant directives.

The ISO 27001 norm lays down standards for the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a documented information security management system. Taking into account the individual organisational structure, this ISO certification includes a review of the quality level the information security of a company corresponds to and the security mechanisms that have been established. The eurodata data centre conforms to these ISO standards and can thus continue to refer to itself as “ISO 27001 certified“.

Dieter Leinen, chairman of eurodata, says: „In these times of increasing cyber attacks, the ISO 27001 certification of a data centre is important as a reliability criterion and quality feature. It identifies the data centres at which data are handled reliably and securely and gives companies some orientation in their search for reliable data centres and cloud partners.“

As long ago as 2014, the eurodata Group’s data centre, located in Saarbrücken, was awarded the ISO 27001 certificate. This more recent recertification, which went very smoothly, shows that eurodata always has a firm eye on the ever-growing information security challenges, countering the problems that continue to crop up in this sector in an exemplary way.

„We take ISO 27001 certification very seriously. At the end of the day, the security of our data centre, and thus also that of the data which are entrusted to us, are the foundation of our business, so we‘re delighted that our professionalism has been acknowledged once again“, says Dieter Leinen.
