Social commitment has always been important at eurodata. So now, it’s really just a matter of logic for the company to be implementing the EU’s ‘Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive‘ (CSRD for short).
Against that backdrop, the HR department at eurodata has developed a CSR project and is now breathing life into it together with the company’s apprentices. The 11 trainees have been assisting the Bertha Bruch Animal Sanctuary in its work regularly since the beginning of September. Not only are these young employees released from their duties by their employer for about 3 hours each month; the teams of 3 or 4 are also lent a company car to travel to the sanctuary.
At the moment, the apprentices are helping to get the sanctuary ready for the winter: sweeping up fallen leaves, sorting blankets, tidying up the workshop and attending to the needs of the rabbits, guinea pigs and birds in the small animal house. And the dogs and cats, over 40 in number, are looked after by the eurodata apprentices too. Meanwhile, word about the CSR project has got around at eurodata; the apprentices have begun to receive frequent donations from their colleagues (food, blankets, leads etc.) and can take them with them to the sanctuary.
