On the basis of the financial accounting required by law, the eurodata TAS system also offers additional monthly business management evaluations for an in-depth analysis of net business earnings. A comparison with similar filling-station operations on the national market provides stimuli which help the entrepreneur to take successful action.

The business management evaluations ('business analyses') drawn up by eurodata filter the information necessary for efficient filling-station management from the large amount of data available and present them in such a way that they are clearly ordered and easy to interpret.

Based on the monthly analyses, company trends can be assessed more quickly and therefore more effectively, enabling the management to think and act in strategic commercial terms. So weak spots can be detected in time.

The most important instruments in the TAS system are:

Business analysis 1
  • Detailed presentation of turnover and
  • expenses / costs relating to the current month and cumulatively to the business year so far
  • short-term earnings statement (profit / loss) derived from the above
  • presentation of the current assets situation (business capital)
You will find an example of business analysis 1 here.

Business analysis 2
Detailed presentation of turnover and
  • expenses / costs relating to the current business year in comparison with the previous year and with the budgeted figures (business plan)
  • comparison of turnover and costs with those of similar filling-stations in
    - the same petroleum company (internal benchmark)
    - the national filling-station market as a whole (external benchmark)
  • key business management data such as short-term liquidity, operating margin, turnover per square metre of sales area, rate of stock turnover etc.
You will find an example of business analysis 2 here.

The finance and money account
The finance and money account is a monthly and annual presentation of the development of liquid resources in a form that is easy to understand, with notes.

In a relatively simple and comprehensible way, the finance and money account presents the inflow and outflow of liquid resources. ("Where have our profit and our money gone?")

Graphic evaluations
Above and beyond that, the system offers a large number of graphic options for the presentation of the relevant information in the form of clearly laid out diagrams.

Of course, business developments can also be presented covering a longer period, for example several years.

Moving with the times
In the 70s and 80s, people talked about punchcards and magnetic tapes and sent discs to one another; but today's technologies make it possible to exchange data securely and electronically via VPN data networks and to access all kinds of up-to-date information via the Internet.

All analyses and reports produced by the TAS system can be accessed today round the clock and right up to the minute via the Internet (eurodata platform 'AnalyseOnline'). In addition to that, each filling-station operator receives business analyses 1 and 2 together with the monthly accounting documents in paper form.
